UNDERSTANDING THE LIGHT AND HORN PATTERNS (AC POWER OFF)

When AC power is Off, and CO alarm is operating on battery back-up...

Condition	LED (Red Light)	Horn
BATTERY BACK-UP	LED flashes ON once,	Horn “chirps” once.
POWER UP	then flashes once per minute
DURING TESTING	LED flashes once every second	Horn pattern: 4 beeps,
	during the 10-second test cycle	pause, 4 beeps, pause.
MISSING OR DEAD	LED is OFF	Horn is silent.
BATTERY (DC back-
up disabled)

WARNING: When the AC power is Off, if the battery is dead or missing, the CO alarm cannot work.

LOW BATTERY	LED flashes once per minute	Horn “chirps” once a minute.
ALARM CONDITION	LED flashes rapidly,	Horn pattern: 4 beeps,
Single CO Alarm	once every second	pause, 4 beeps, pause,
(not interconnected)		repeating.
ALARM CONDITION	LED flashes rapidly on the unit	Horn pattern: 4 beeps,
Interconnected	that triggered the alarm. LEDs	pause, 4 beeps, pause
Series of Alarms	on the other alarms in the series	repeating, on all CO
	will not flash.	alarms.
IN SILENCE MODE	LED flashes rapidly,	Horn stays quiet for 4 minutes.

“LATCHING” ALARM	LED flashes	Horn stays quiet.
INDICATOR	once every 5 seconds
MALFUNCTION	LED flashes 3 times	Horn sounds 3 rapid chirps
	synchronized with 3 rapid chirps	(“chirp-chirp-chirp”) every
