If the Message Center Mode is ON, it overrides your Receive Mode setting. The built-in digital Message Center answers voice calls. If the call is a fax, you can receive a fax automatically.

There are three possible receive modes: Fax Only, Fax/Tel and Manual.

You must record an outgoing message in order to use the Message Center mode.

Do you want to receive a fax automatically?

Yes

Manual

No

You control the phone line and must answer every call yourself.

Do you use the FAX for the fax use only?

Fax Only

The FAX automatically answers every call as a fax.

2Activate Message Center mode.

Press and hold until it lights and the LCD shows:

Fax/Tel

The FAX controls the line and automatically answers every call. If the call is not a fax, it will ring for you to pick up the call.

1Press Menu/Set.

2Press 0.

3Press 1.

4Press ▲ or ▼ to select the mode.

5Press Menu/Set.

6Press Stop/Exit.
