Replacing the toner cartridge

Note
• To ensure high quality print ing, we recommend that you u se only genuine Brother toner cartridges. When
you want to buy toner cartridges, call the dealer you bought the printer from or Brother Customer Service.
• W e recommend that you clean the pri nter when you replace the toner cartrid ge. See Cleaning on page 6-
13.
aPress the front cover release button an d then open the front cover.
bTake out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly.
CAUTION
We recommend that you put the drum unit an d toner cartridge assembly on a piece of disposab le paper or
cloth in case you accidentally spill or sca tter toner.
To prevent damage to the printer from static electricity, DO NOT touch the electrodes shown in the
illustration.
