Answer delay

Answer delay sets the number of times your BT Studio 4500 will ring before the answering machine picks up your call. The default setting is 6 rings. You can change this setting from between 2-9 rings or to time saver mode.

1. Press the button, the display shows ANS MACHINE, press .

2. Press or until ANS SETTINGS is displayed and press

to select.

3. Press or to display ANSWER DELAY and press .

4. Press or to select the number of rings you want (2-9)or TIME SAVER and press .

5. Press and hold to return to standby.

Remote access

You can operate your answering machine remotely from any Touchtone™ phone by calling your BT Studio 4500 and entering a 4-digit security code.

Switch remote access on/off

1. Press the button, the display shows ANS MACHINE, press .

2. Press or until ANS SETTINGS is displayed and press

to select.

3. Press or to display remote acc and press .

4. Press or to choose either on or off and press .

5. Press and hold to return to standby.

If you have a voice mail service e.g. 1571 please ensure that the ring delay is set to answer before the voicemail service. Therefore, the ring delay should be less than on the voicemail if you want the Studio 4500 answer machine to answer calls.
