* Copy and Paste are disabled for password and hint entry.
4When the [Password Security enabled successfully.] message appears, click
[OK].
5Disconnect the device from the computer.
Password default settings are congured.
1 Enter the current password.
2 Enter a new password (4 to 10 characters)
in 2 places.
3 Enter a hint phrase (5 to 75 characters).
* Enter [12345] (factory setting) when you use
this device for the rst time.
4 Click [OK].
II Authenticating the Password to Use
Authenticate the password and prepare the device to read and write data.
1Connect this device to the computer.

* If you enter wrong passwords 3 times, you can check the hint phrase you entered from the [Hint]
button (for Windows XP/2000, when logged in with the administrator account only).
1 Enter the current password.
2 Click [OK].
* Enter the password changed in section I.
