OPERATION

Troubleshooting

Please check for causes of problems in accordance with the following chart before contacting your dealer

or any service personnel.

Symptom

Cause

Signal not properly connected.

Connect signal securely.

No sound

Disc warped or dirty.

Clean your disc.

 

Player in mute status.

Press MUTE button again.

 

 

 

No picture

Signal not properly connected.

Connect signal securely.

TV not set for correct system

Reset the AV/TV status of your TV set

 

 

DVD55/57/59 set to progressive scan mode.

Press the Interlace scan button on the remote (See page 27).

 

 

 

No colour

TV system not correct

Press P/N button on the remote control to set the system.

TV set colour not properly adjusted.

Readjust colour of your TV set.

 

 

 

 

 

No disc in the player.

Load a disc.

No disc reading

Disc not properly loaded.

Reload a disc, with the label side facing up.

 

Condensation on the laser head.

Turn on the player, unload the disc and leave it on for about one hour.

 

 

 

Remote control

Remote control not pointing to the sensor

Use the remote control properly.

Replace both batteries.
