IMPORTANT

To protect the lens, keep the lens cover closed when you are not recording movies and when you are not using the camcorder.

Observe the following precautions while the ACCESS indicator is on or flashing. Failing to do so may result in permanent data loss or damage to the memory.

-Do not open the memory card slot cover.

-Do not disconnect the power source or turn off the camcorder.

-Do not change the camcorder’s operating mode.

Be sure to save your recordings regularly (A128), especially after making important recordings. Canon shall not be liable for any loss or corruption of data.

Recordings on an Eye-Fi card will be uploaded automatically after set- ting the camcorder to playback mode, if you are within the range of a configured network. Always verify that Eye-Fi cards have been

approved in the country/region of use. See also Using an Eye-Fi card (A146).

NOTES

The zoom, Quick Start function, power saving modes, etc. operate the

same way in mode as in mode. For details, refer to AUTO Mode (A44).

Photos cannot be recorded while the digital zoom is activated (light blue area on the zoom bar) or while fading in or fading out a scene.

Reviewing the Latest Scene Recorded

You can review the last 4 seconds of the last scene recorded with the camcorder without switching to playback mode. While reviewing the latest scene, the picture will be played back without sound.
