Cannot record a photo while recording movies.

-You cannot take photos in mode, while the digital zoom is activated (A49) or while fading in or fading out a scene (A102).

After using the camcorder for a long time, it becomes hot.

-The camcorder may become hot after using it continuously for long periods of time; this is not a malfunction. If the camcorder becomes unusually hot or it becomes hot after using it only for a short while, it may indicate a problem with the camcorder. Consult a Canon Service Cen- ter.

Cannot create a new story.

-A memory can contain a maximum of 98 user-created stories. Delete some stories from the gallery (A63) or select a different memory (A40).

Playback

Cannot copy/move scenes in a story.

- The memory is full. Delete some recordings (A60, 120) to free some space.

Cannot delete a scene.

- You may not be able to delete scenes recorded or edited using another device.

Deleting scenes takes longer than usual.

-When the memory contains a large number of scenes, some operations may take longer than usual. Save your recordings (A131) and initialize the memory (A42).

Cannot capture a video snapshot scene from a movie.

-You cannot capture video snapshot scenes from scenes recorded or edited using another device. Also, you cannot capture scenes that are from movies converted to standard definition (&/%only) or MP4 movies.

-The memory is full. Delete some recordings (A60, 120) to free some space.

When playing back scenes/slideshow with background music, the music track is not played back correctly.

-This can occur when you transfer the music files to a memory card after repeatedly recording and deleting scenes (fragmented memory). Save your recordings (A131) and initialize the memory card (A42). Then, transfer the music files first and only then transfer the video files.

-Music tracks will not play back correctly if the connection was interrupted while transferring the music files to a memory card. Delete the music tracks and transfer the music files again.

-The transfer rate of the memory card used is too slow. Use a recommended memory card (A37).
