•This chapter assumes that the mode dial is set to G mode.

•The section “Shooting Long Exposures” (p. 84) assumes that the mode dial is set to K mode and the camera is in ≈.

•Before attempting to shoot using a function explained in this chapter in modes other than G mode, check if the function is available in those modes (pp. 134 – 137).
