Two choicesfor autofocus: use
Canon’sFlexiZone AF to move
the focuspoint almost anywhere
in the frame, or lockit at the
center. Either way, you get
precise, tack-sharp focus, from

even a focusbracketing feature,
which shiftsfocus slightly over
three separate pictures. Finally,
there’sa continuous AF setting –
which leavesthe AF active any

single AF, which updatesfocus

THREEMETERING SYSTEMS
The PowerShotG5 gives users
three lightmetering choices.
Canon’ssophisticated Evaluative
metering readstens of thousands
ofseparate areas of the full
image, and isthe ideal metering
choice for mostsituations.
There’salso full-area Center-
weighted metering, which is
perfectfor shooters who prefer
to dialin their own exposure
compensation. Finally, for the
utmostprecision, there’s Spot
metering – which can measure a
tinyarea either at the center of
the image, or can be linked to
the AFpoint if it’s off-center.
MANUALSETTINGS
In addition to a hostof
automaticfeatures, the
PowerShotG5 allows for full
manualcontrol. The user can
setshutter speeds of 1/2000 –
15 seconds, and adjust
aperture, focus, flash output
and exposure compensation.
Additionally, the PowerShot
offersfeatures such as expo-
sure and focusbracketing, AF
and AElock, even a neutral
densityfilter, ensuring total
controlfor even the most
discerning photographer.
