Your watch runs on electric power generated from light, which is stored by a rechargeable battery.

To ensure stable operation, make sure that the watch is exposed to light as much as possible.

Your watch continues to operate even when it is not exposed to light. Leaving the watch in the dark can run down its battery and cause functions to become disabled.

Tips on how to keep the battery charged.

ξAlways try to ensure that the watch is exposed to enough light to keep its battery indicator at LEVEL 1 or LEVEL 2. Some functions are disabled when battery power drops to LEVEL 3.

ξWhen wearing the watch, try to keep your sleeve from blocking its face (solar cell).

Charging effi ciency is reduced signifi cantly even if the face of the watch is covered only partially by your sleeve.

Modes and Indicators

ξThe analog hands are not shown for most of the face illustrations in this User’s Guide.

Each press of C sounds a confirmation tone and cycles through available modes in the sequence shown below.

ξThe watch will revert to the Timekeeping Mode automatically if you leave it in the Battery Mode or Alarm Mode without performing any operation for about two or three minutes.
