3. Load batteries as shown in the illustration.

4. While pressing down at the point indicated by the arrow in the illustration, slide the battery cover closed.

IMPORTANT!

•Use only AA-size alkaline batteries (LR6), AA-size lithium batteries (FR6), or AA-size rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries to power this camera.

•SANYO Electric Co., Ltd. brand type HR-3UA, HR- 3UB,or HR-3UF batteries are recommended when using rechargeable nickel metal hydride batteries to power this camera.

■Low Battery Indicator

The following shows how the battery capacity indicator on the monitor screen changes as battery power is used. The indicator means that remaining battery power is low.

Note that you will not be able to record images while the

battery indicator is . Immediately replace the batteries whenever either of these indicators appears.
