Introducción

¡Felicitaciones por su compra de los altavoces Cerwin-Vega® multielemento de fuente pun- tual High Energy Design (HED™). Cada altavoz multielemento de la Serie HED posee las siguientes características:

•Manejo de alta potencia y alta eficiencia

•Cono de polipropileno moldeado a inyección y relleno con mineral; excelente amor tiguación interna para brindar una respuesta uniforme y un sonido natural en el rango de frecuencias medias

•Tweeters de titanio compuesto

Precauciones de instalación

No ponga en servicio un altavoz en un vehículo sin asegurar antes debidamente todos los componentes a la estructura interior. De lo contrario, un componente puede transfor- marse en un proyectil peligroso y volador durante una parada súbita o un accidente.

No taladre ni atornille a través de un panel interior o piso alfombrado de un vehículo sin antes inspeccionar la parte inferior para ver si hay peligro de perforar conductos o cables de control. Al planificar la instalación, evite todos los conductos de combustible, conductos de frenos, cables eléctricos o conductos de aceite.

Selección del lugar

Para facilitar la instalación, utilice lugares de fábrica que puedan adaptarse a los altavoces. Esto le ahorrará bastante tiempo de instalación y le permitirá lograr una integración estética. No instale altavoces detrás de los bolsillos obstructores de puertas o de paneles decorativos. Estos lugares pueden bloquear las frecuencias medias del woofer y reducir la salida, dando como resultado un sonido “estridente” o “hueco”.

Evite los lugares ubicados detrás de telas gruesas que restrinjan la salida y reduzcan el vol- umen. Los tweeters son particularmente sensibles a este tipo de ubicación, dado que las longi- tudes de onda corta generadas son fácilmente absorbidas por las telas gruesas.
