Cisco 700 Series Router Cabling and SetupQuick Start Guide
This document describes the basic process of cabling and configuring the Internet access device, the
Cisco 700 series router. For advanced cabling information, refer to theCisco 700 Series Router
Installation Guide. For advanced configuration information, refer to theCisco 700 Series Router
Command Referenceand the Cisco 700 Series Router Software Configuration Guide. These documents can
be found on the Cisco Documentation CD-ROM and Cisco Connection Online (CCO).

One Cisco 700 series router
One yellow Ethernet cable
One red ISDN U cable (Cisco 776 routers only)
One orange ISDN S/T cable (Cisco 761 and 775 routers only)
One RJ-45-to-RJ-11 adapter
One blue config cable
One black power supply
One black power supply cord
One Cisco Fast Step CD-ROM
Note Additional parts might be required to install Cisco775 and Cisco 776 routers. An Ethernet
crossovercable must be used to connect a hub to the router. Depending on the country, you
might need a phone port adapter to connect an analog telephone. These parts must be
provided by the user.
