Using the alarm

The alarm switches your radio on (if in standby) and tunes to a station or sounds a tone.

To set/change an alarm

Alarm settings

Set the alarm on or off, the time and choose DAB, FM (both set to current station) or Tone alarm. Radio alarms will be at whatever the volume control is set at when the alarm goes off. A bell symbol is shown next to the clock when the alarm is set.

Note Alarms will not work if you are using batteries and switch your unit off.

To cancel an alarm

DAB/FM

Press any button except Volume to cancel the alarm and perform the button’s normal function.

Tone

 

Press Select or Power to cancel the alarm.

Using a ChargePAKTM/batteries

ChargePAK

As an alternative to mains power you can use six size ‘C’ alkaline or rechargeable batteries or use the PURE ChargePAK™ C6x rechargeable battery pack. When charge is low the battery icon flashes. Note Always disconnect the radio from mains power supply before fitting or removing a ChargePAK or batteries, your settings will be retained.

Using a ChargePAK

ChargePAK is a rechargeable battery pack which plugs into the socket in your radio’s battery compartment. Whenever your radio is connected to a mains supply the ChargePAK will be charging. When charging a ChargePAK the battery icon will be animated and when fully charged the icon disappears. A complete charge should take around 10 hours in standby. Battery safety

-Do not mix battery types or sizes

-Do not mix old and new batteries

-Remove used batteries as soon as possible to prevent leakage

-Dispose of old batteries carefully

-Orientate batteries as shown in the battery compartment
