Section VI Appendix

Citizens Band radio operators have largely adopted the “10-code” for standard questions and answers. Its use permits faster communications and better under- standing in noisy areas. The following table lists some of the more common codes and their meanings.

A FEW RULES THAT SHOULD BE OBEYED

1. You are not allowed to carry on a conversation with another station for more

than five minutes at a time without taking a one-minute break, to give others

a chance to use the channel.
