5 To Attach Fuel Bottle

Make sure FUEL VALVE is fully “OFF” (Fig 12).

Connect hose to threaded fitting on fuel bottle, making sure the bottle is lying on its side with the fuel valve up. Hand tighten the connection (Fig. 13).

Note: For proper lighting, perform Step 6 ONLY for the first time use “out of the box” or when pump is dry (for example, after extended storage). This step is not required during subsequent lighting.

6 Initial Fueling of Dry Pump

Make sure FUEL VALVE is fully “OFF” (Fig 14).

Turn flame adjuster to “High/Light” (Fig. 15).

Place thumb over hole in PUMP KNOB and pump five full strokes (Fig 16).

Open fuel valve on bottle 1/2 turn for five seconds, then close fuel valve.

NOTE: Air in the dry pump is now replaced with liquid fuel. Proceed to Step 7.
