PREPARING THE CAMERA

INSERTING AN SD CARD

The digital camera is equipped with a 32MB internal memory. If no SD card is inserted in the camera, all pictures/video clips/audio clips recorded by the camera will be stored in the internal memory. When SD card is inserted in the camera, all files recorded by the camera will be stored on the SD card by using the Design Rule for Camera File System (DCF) protocol. The DCF protocol is designed to accommodate file and data exchange between digital cameras and other devices. Photos that are taken by a DCF camera can be viewed on DCF-compatible cameras from other manufacturers.

1.Turn off the camera.

2.Open the Battery/Memory Card Door.

3.Insert the SD card in the direction as shown in the figure aside.

4.Close the Battery/Memory Card Door.

Note: When the SD card is being written to, read, erased or transmitted to, the green operation lamp located on the left side of the Power button will blink. Do not turn off the camera or open the Battery Memory Card Door while the LED is blinking.

To remove the SD card

1.Turn off the camera.

2.Open the Battery/Memory Card Door.

3.Gently press on the edge of the SD card to release it.

4.Pull the card out and close the Battery/Memory Card door.

TURNING THE POWER ON/OFF

Press and hold the POWER button for more than 1 second to turn the camera on.

To turn off the camera

Press the POWER button to turn off the camera.

Note:

1.The camera will be powered off automatically after being idle for some time. The Auto-Off timing can be changed in Setup menu.

2.If the camera cannot be powered on, the batteries may be drained. Replace or recharge the battery and try again.
