fully charged.

2.Make sure power supply to the charging stand is normal household voltage, 120 volts, 60 Hz,
3.Connect charging stand to power supply.

6.The charging stand has two (LED) indicator lights, one green and one red. The green LED light comes on when the charging stand is plugged into a power outlet. When a battery pack is put into the charging stand, the green LED light will go off and the red LED will light, indicating that the battery pack is charging properly (see Fig. 3a).
When the battery pack is fully charged, the red LED will go off and green LED light will go on to show that battery is fully charged. When the battery pack is removed from the charging stand, the green LED will stay on until it is unplugged.
7.After normal use, 1 hour of charging time is required to fully recharge battery pack.
If battery pack is completely discharged, 6 hours or longer of charging time is required to fully recharge battery pack.
NOTE: Within the warranty period, if the charging stand LED lights do not operate properly, or the charging stand does not charge the battery pack, return the charging stand and battery pack to your nearest Sears Store or other Craftsman outlet for free replacement.
8.The battery pack will become slightly warm to the touch while charging. This is normal and does not indicate a problem.
9.Do not place the charging stand in an area of extreme heat or cold. It will work best at normal room temperature.
10.When battery pack becomes fully charged, unplug battery charging stand from power supply and remove the battery pack.
CHARGING A HOT BATTERY PACK
When using your tool continuously, the batteries in your battery pack will become hot. You should let a hot battery pack cool down for approximately 30 minutes before attempting to recharge.
NOTE: A hot battery pack only occurs when prolonged continuous use of your trimmer causes the batteries to become hot. It does not occur with typical use. Within the warranty period, if the battery pack becomes hot with typical use, return the charging stand and battery pack to your nearest Sears store or other Craftsman outlet for free replacement.
