ToBrainthefuel:

1.Locatethefuelfilter,whichisroutedonthe leftsideof theengine betweenthefueltankandthecarburetor,andmaybeattachedto theenginewitha tie strap.Cutthetie strap,if present,thenpinch thein-lineclamponthefuelfilterwitha pairof pliers,slidethe clampupthefuelline. Pullthe fuellinefreefromthefilterandplace

1.Usepliersto squeezethe tabsonthe otherclamp(theout-line sideof the fuel filter),thenslide theclampawayfromthefuel filter. Twistandpullthe fuellineoff of the fuelfilter.SeeFigure11.

2.Checkthefuel linesfor cracksor leaks.Replaceif necessary.

3.Replacethefuel filterwithanoriginalequipmentreplacement filter.Call 1-800-4-MY-HOME®to purchasethe originalequip- mentreplacementfilter.

4.Securethe fuel lineswiththe clamps.

Air Cleaner

The airfiltersystemusesa cylindricalcartridge.This modelalso includesa pre-cleanerthatcan bewashedand reused.

1.Removethe fasteners(A)andthe air filtercover(B). SeeFigure 12.

2.To removethe filter(C),lift the endof the filterand thenpullthe filteroff the intake(D).

3.Removethe pre-cleaner(E),if equipped,fromthe filter.

4.To loosendebris,gentlytap thefilterona hardsurface.If thefilter isexcessivelydirty, replacewitha newfilter.

5.Washthe pre-cleanerin liquiddetergentandwater.Thenallowit to thoroughlyair dry. Do notoil the pre-cleaner.

6.Assemblethe dry pre-cleanerto the filter.

7.Installthe filteronthe intake.Pushthe endof the filterintothe

baseas shown.Makesurefilterfits securelyin the base.

8.Installair filtercoverandsecurewithfasteners.
