Protecting your tapes

You can protect your tapes by removing the erasure prevention tab on the back of the tape. When this tab is removed, VCR cannot record over it. To once again be able to record on a tape with its tab removed, simply place a piece of tape over the space left by the removed tab.

Inserting a Tape

To insert a tape into your TV/VCR Combination, hold it so that the windows on the tape face up, and the label of the tape faces away from the TV/VCR Combination.

Gently place the tape in the cassette compartment and push it in slowly. Once it is in the compartment part-way, the TV/VCR Combination will pull the tape the rest of the way.

You can insert a tape into your TV/VCR Combination even when it is turned off. If the tape has its erasure prevention tab removed, the TV/VCR Combination will turn on and begin playing the tape.

Ejecting a tape

To remove a tape from the compartment, press the STOP/EJECT button on the front panel or on the remote control. The TV/VCR Combination will eject the tape part-way. Grasp the cas- sette and remove the tape from the TV/VCR Combination.
