Helpful Hints
σThe primary function of a hood is to capture or collect the cooking vapors, smoke and heat that result from cooking.
σThe larger the hood the more “capture area” so height, width and depth coverage determine its performance.
σThe hood’s width should extend by least 3 inches on each side for optimum capture coverage. Example: For a 30” range, a 30” hood will work fine but a 36” hood will give optimum performance. Available space is often the determining factor when considering hood size.
σThe depth of a hood should extend from the wall out to the front edge of the front burner.
σOptimum mounting height is 30” from top of cooking surface.
σMake sure to find out if your customer is using an internal or remote blower.
