Removing the Microprocessor Thermal-Cooling Assembly

1. Follow the instructions in Before Working Inside Your Computer.
2. Turn over the computer.
3. Loosen the captive screw in the thermal-cooling/microprocessor cover and remove the cover.
4. Loosen in consecutive order the four captive screws, labeled "1" through "4," in the thermal- cooling assembly.
5. Lift the thermal-cooling assembly out of the computer by pulling straight up on the pull-strap.

CAUTION: To prevent static damage to components inside your computer, discharge static electricity from your body before you touch any of
your computer's electronic components. You can do so by touching an unpainted metal surface.
