Media Controls

The media control keys are located on the keyboard.

To use the media controls, press the required key. You can use the Function Key Behavior setting in the System Setup (BIOS) Utility or the Windows Mobility Center to configure the media control keys.

System Setup (BIOS) Utility –

1.Press <F2> directly during POST (Power On Self Test) to access the System Setup (BIOS) utility.

2.Enter the System Setup (BIOS) utility, and in the Function Key Behavior, select Function Key First or Multimedia Key First.

Windows Mobility Center –

1.Press the < > <X> keys to launch the Windows Mobility Center.

2.In the Function Key Row, select Function Key or Multimedia Key.

Multimedia Key First/ Multimedia Key – This is the default option. Press any multimedia key to perform the associated action. For function key, press <Fn> + the required function key.

Function Key First/Function Key – Press any function key to perform the associated action. For multimedia key, press <Fn> + the required multimedia key.

NOTE: Function Key First/Function Key is the default option in MS-DOSand POST. NOTE: Multimedia Key First/Multimedia Key option is active only in the operating system.
