BEFORE FIRST USE

1.Clean the burner with a soft damp cloth. Place the burner on a flat, level surface near an electrical outlet.

2.Be sure the unit is in the OFF position before plugging in.

3.Always use flat bottom cookware that makes close contact with the heating element. Ideally, the cookware should be 7”- 8” in diameter. Keep the surface of the heating element clean and dry.

HOW TO OPERATE

1.Put water and/or food in the cookware. Do not fill more then 80% of the cookware, as it will overflow. Cover and place on the burner.

2.Plug the unit in. The power indicator light will illuminate. Turn the dial for the desired burner from the MIN to

®

MAX position, to set the temperature. (The outer burners are 750 watts and the middle burner is 300 watts) The specific burner indicator light will illuminate to show that the unit is heating up. (MIN is low heat, MAX is high heat)

CAUTION: The metal surfaces will become hot. Do not touch while in use.

Note: When using the burner for the first time, there may be a smell of smoke coming from the surface of the heating elements. This is normal, due to the invisible protective coating during production.

3.When you are finished using the burner, turn the dials to the OFF position and unplug the power cord. Allow the unit to cool before moving or cleaning.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

1.Be sure the unit is unplugged from the wall and is cool before cleaning.

2.Do not immerse the unit in water to clean.

3.Use a damp soapy cloth or sponge to clean the unit. Do not use harsh abrasives or metal scrubbing pads to clean the unit.

4.Store the burner in a clean dry place.

HINTS AND TIPS

Do not use unstable pans. Be sure to use flat bottom pans to insure full contact with the heating surface for
