The AVR-1700 is an A/V surround receiver from Denon featuring Dolby Digital AC-3 at an affordable price. Equipped with Denon's own DDSC-Digital (Dynamic Discrete Surround Circuit-Digital) decoding technology, the AVR-1700 supports the 5 independent sound chan- nels of Dolby Digital AC-3. This model includes the Equal Power feature and a fully-discrete 5- channel amplifier design which brings out the full sonic potential of Dolby Digital AC-3.
