XD1228 OPERATION

		Troubleshooting
Problem	Cause	Action
	Yellow wire not connected or incorrect voltage	Check connections for proper voltage
Unit will not turn on	Red wire not connected or incorrect voltage	(11~16VDC)
(no power)	Black wire not connected	Check connection to ground
	Fuse blown	Replace fuse
Unit has power	Speaker wires not connected	Check connections at speakers
	One or more speaker wires touching each	Insulate all bare speaker wires from each
(but no sound)
	other or touching chassis ground	other and chassis ground
	Yellow or red wire touching chassis ground	Check for pinched wire
Unit blows fuses	Speaker wires touching chassis ground	Check for pinched wire
	Incorrect fuse rating	Use fuse with correct rating
	Unit is not mounted correctly	Check mounting sleeve or add a backstrap
Excessive skipping		support
	Physical defect in media (CD, CD-R or CD-RW)	Check media for scratches
	CD mechanism position out of alignment	Press EJECT for 3 seconds to reset
Unit will not accept		CD mechanism position
a disc	CD transit screws still in place	Remove 2 transit screws located on top of
		the unit.
