current alarm value shows
in a window

again. When the desired value
has been entered, press the
key next tothe
"ACCEPT' label.
The
unit returnsto the ALARMS
screen as
shown below. Notice
that the alarm has automati-
cally
been
turned on. If an alarm
is
off, and you adjust
it, the unit
automatically turns it on.
Now
you can
change any
other
alarm or press the key next to
the "EXIT" label to leave the
alarm menu.
You can return to this alarm
screen
at
anytime
to
adjust any
alarm,
turn one
off,
or
all of them
on, as desired. Each alarm
works
and adjusts indepentlyof
the others.

Use the number keys to enter
the time. Press the up arrow
key to change the time from
AM to PM or the down arrow
key to
change from PM to AM.
Press the key next
to the "AC-
CEPT" label when you're

CHANGE DATE
To enter today's date, press
the key next to the "CHANGE

Remember, if you need to set ___________
an alarm to less than one (1), enter a zero first. For example, to set the
arrival alarm to .5 miles, press the

a "cold start"
message to the GPS receiver. You also can send a cold start

If the unit can't
lock on to the satellites using
the data you've
given
it, or if
it has trouble
finding the
satellites, perhaps it is
using
the
wrong data. This
can happen if
you've entered the
wrong data by accident. For example,
given it
east
longitude instead of west. Or if
you've
moved
a
long
distance
with the unit
turned off.
To send a cold
start
message to the receiver, press
the MENU key. Now
press the
key
next to the "CHANGE GPS SETTINGS" label.
Finally, press
the key next
to the "GPS "COLD" START" label. The unit
will begin a cold
start
technique to find the available satellites. It
should lock on to them in
15 minutes
or less. Remember,
when it
