Using EAP-TTLS Security
Imp ort a n t N ote : T o use EAP-TTLS security, the ma chine must already have the EA P-
TTLS certificates do wnloaded onto it from a Certificate Authority (CA). Please chec k with
your IT admini strator.
To use EAP security In the Atheros Client Utility, access the Security ta b i n the Profile
Management window.
1. On the Security tab, choo se the WPA radio button .
OR: On the Security tab, choose the 802.1x radio button.
2. Choose EAP-TTLS from the d rop-down menu.
Enabling EAP-TTLS securi ty:
1. If EAP-TTLS i s supported, ch oose EAP-TTLS from the drop -do wn menu on the right,
then cli c k the Configure butt on.
2. Select the approp riate certifi cate f rom the drop-down li st and click OK.
3. Specify a u ser name for EAP au thentication:
o Check Use Windows User Name to use the Windows u ser name as the EAP
user name.
o OR: Ente r a EAP user name i n the U ser Name field to u se a sepa rate user
name and password and start the EAP authentication pro ce ss.
4. Cli ck Advan ced and:
o Leave the server name field blank for the client to accept a ce rtificate f rom
any server with a ce rtificate signed by the autho rity listed in the Network
Certificate Authority drop-down list. (rec om m en de d)
o Enter the domain name of the server from which the client will accept a
certificate.
o Change the login nam e i f needed.
5. Cli ck OK.
6. Enable the profile.
