WEP Key Size Defines the size fo r each encryption key. The options include:
o 64- bit (enter 10 digit s for hexadecimal, 5 ASCII
characters)
o 128- bit (enter 26 digit s for hexadecimal, 13
digits for ASCII)
o 152-bit (enter 32 digit s hexadecimal, 16 digits
for ASCII)
4. Click OK for the changes to take effect.
Overwr iting an Existi ng Static W EP Key
1. Click the Define Pre-Shared Keys radio button on the Securit y tab.
2. Cli ck on Configure.
3. In the windo w, all e xisting static WEP key s a re di splayed a s aste risks fo r secu rity
reasons. Click in the fi el d of the existing static WEP key to overwrite.
4. Delet e the a steri sks i n that f i eld.
5. Enter a new key.
6. Ma ke su re t o s e l ec t t h e Transmit Key button to the left o f this key is selected fo r the
key t o transm it packe ts.
7. Cli ck OK.
Disabling Static WEP
To disable static WEP fo r a particular profile, choose None on t he Profile
Management tab and clic k OK.
OR: Select any other securit y option on the Profile Management tab to automatically
disable static WEP.
