Optimized Brightness with Auto EcoView
A sensor on the front of the monitor calle d Auto
EcoView measures ambient light and opt imizes the
screen’s brightness to levels akin to vie wing a sheet
of paper under t ypical office lighting cond itions.
Since the sc reen is never too br ight, eye stra in is
reduced while power consumption is cut by up to
40% compared to o perating the mon itor with Auto
EcoView turne d off and set to t he default factor y
brightness of 100%.
Energy Efficiency Gauge
To encourage
environmental
consciousness
while working,
a user-activated
gauge called “EcoView Index” indic ates energy con-
sumption in correlation with the s creen’s brightness.
When EcoView Index is fully il luminated, the moni-
tor is operating at optimum energy ef ficiency.
Zero Watts When Turned Off
When the power save mode and off timer a re set,
the EV2303W and EV2023W consume le ss than 0.7
watts and the EV2333W and EV2313W consume les s
than 1 watt of power. When turned of f via the main
power switch, they consume no elec tricity at all.
16:9 Aspect Ratio
These are the first Flex Scan models to feature 16:9
aspect ratios. The 16:9 wide format is t he same as-
pect ratio used by HDTV a nd it lets you enjoy multi-
media content without horizontal le tterboxing.
Preset Modes for Optimum Viewing
These monitors come with five preset modes: Text
mode for office applications, Movie mode for video,
Picture mode for graphics , sRGB mode for web brows-
ing, and Custom mode for user-de fined settings.
Eco-Friendly Backlight, Lower Power Consumption
The EV2313W incorporates a mercur y-free LED
(light-emitting dio de) backlight. With the LED back-
light and Auto EcoView in use, the monitor co nsumes
just 16 W during typical operation.
Next Generation Connectivit y
DisplayPort connectivity with the EV2333W
and EV2313W allows digital audio and video
signal transmission via a single, high-bandwidth cable at
distances up to 15 meters without a ny signal degradation.
