What to do if ...Trouble Shooting
Try to rectify minor faults on the washing machine with the aid of the
instructions given here. If you call out an engineer to resolve a fault
listed here, or to repair a fault caused by incorrect use or installation, a
charge will be made even if the appliance is under guarantee.
Problem Possible Cau se Solution
The washing machine
does not work.
The mains plug is not
plugged in. Insert mains plug.
The circuit breaker at the
household power distribu-
tion box has tripped or a fuse
at the household fuse box
has blown.
Re-set the circuit breaker or
replace the fuse.
The door is not correctly
closed.
Close the door; The lock must
engage audibly.
START/PAUSE button has not
been pressed long enough.
Press and hold down the
START/PAUSE button until
the program starts.
Door cannot be closed. The child safety feature is
set.
Cancel the child safety fea-
ture (see the section “Child
Safety Feature“).
The DOOR and MAIN
WASH displays are
flashing.
The door is not correctly
closed.
Close the door correctly.
Start the program again.
No water is running
into the machine.
The RINSE + display is
flashing.
Tap is closed. Open tap.
Filter in screw connection of
the inlet hose is blocked.
Turn off the water tap.
Unscrew the hose from the
tap, remove the filter and
clean it under running water.
