Electricalconnections
Beforeconnecting the appliance,check that the vol-
tagequoted on the rating plate-thatis, the nominalvol-
tage of the appliance-correspondstothe available
mains voltage.The rating platecan be found on the
lowerhousing of the ceramicglass hob.
Themains connection mustbe carried outbyan expert
electrician.The VDE-regulationsand the valid pre-
scriptionsbythe localpowersuppyboardshaveto be
compiled with.
Priortoconnection itshould be checked whetherthe
voltage stated on the type plate--i.e. the nominalvol-
tage of the appliance and of the oven/controlbox--is
identical withthe prevailing mains voltage.The type
plateistlocated on the hobsbottom.
Themains connection mustbe carried outinawaythat
an all--poleinsulatingdeviceisexisting with a contact
opening ofatleast3mm,e.g.earth--leakagecircuit--
breakerorfuse.
Awireof type H05VV-Forofhigher rating isto be used
as supply cable.
The mainsterminal islocated inthe bottomof the
appliance behind a covering slide. It can be opened
withascrewdriver (pict.).
According to existing mains voltage the appliancehas
tobeconnected incorrespondencewiththe diagrams
ofconnecting possibilities.The bridgesof theterminal
board aretobechanged accordingly,ifneedbe.
Theprotectiveconductoristo be connected toterminal
.The protectiveconductor mustbe longerthan live
leads.
The cable connectionshave to be connectedas
shownand theterminalscrewsbefirmlytighte-
ned.
Afterwardsthesupply cable hasto be secured by strain
reliefdeviceand thecovering slide mustbe closed by
firmlypressing down until itengages.
Priortofirstuseremoveanyexisting labelsand protec-
tivefilmsfromthe ceramicglass plate orthe frame of
the hob.
Afterconnecting the electricalsupply,allcooking
zonesshould be briefly switched on one afterthe
otherat their maximumpower,in ordertotest
whethertheyare operational.
