 SPECIAL SAFETY ADVICE

Make sure that there is no danger that the cord or extension cord may inadvertently be pulled or cause anyone to trip when in use.

If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the appliance, otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur.

This appliance is not suitable for commercial use nor for use in the open air.

Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use.

Children cannot recognise the dangers involved in the incorrect use of electrical appliances. Therefore never allow children to use household appliances without supervision.

Always remove the plug from the socket when the appliance is not in use and each time before it is cleaned.

Danger! Nominal voltage is still present in the appliance as long as the appliance is connected to the mains socket.

Switch the appliance off before disconnecting from the mains.

Never use the cord to carry the appliance.

 BEFORE INITIAL USE OPERATION SPECIAL SAFETY ADVICE

Caution, danger of burning! Put heating unit (4) and fondue pot (6) on a flat, fire-proofsurface.

Caution, danger of burning! The heating unit (4) and the fondue pot (6) get very hot during the operation.

Do not move the fondue pot (6) and the heating unit (4) during the use to avoid spill of hot oil or hot broth. Danger of burning!

Always turn the thermostat (2) to MIN before unplug the mains plug (1).

Let the oil or the broth cool down before dispose them.

Always grasp the fondue pot (6) at the handles (5).

Let the device cool down in a place inaccessible for children.

 CLEANING AND CARE TECHNICAL DATA BEFORE INITIAL USE

Remove all packaging material.

Clean the fondue pot, the fondue forks and the heating unit as described in Care and Maintenance.

 INSTRUCTIONS ON ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION GUARANTEE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE OPERATION

Fill the fondue pot to approx. 1/3 with deep-frying fat/vegetable oil or bouillon and put it on the heating unit (4). Put the ring (7) on the pot.

Connect the mains plugs (1) with a suitable electrical outlet.

At first turn the thermostat (2) to MAX. The power on indicator (3) goes on.

The first time you use your fondue, it may emit a slight odour and smoke. This is, however, quite safe and only of short duration. Pay attention to a sufficient ventilation.

Put a wooden stick (e.g. shish-kebab stick) into it, to check whether the oil or the broth is hot enough. If small bubbles form at the stick, the oil or the broth has reached the right temperature and you can start with the cheese fondue.

Turn the thermostat (2) to a lower level to avoid splashes. After reaching adjusted temperature, the red power on indicator (3) goes out. If the temperature falls under adjusted value the power on indicator goes on again to indicate that the device is heating up the oil or the broth.

For easy use put the fondue forks in the slits on the ring (7). Tip: Expect for a main meal approx. 200 g meat per person. Serve the cheese fondue with a fresh baguette, spices and fondue sauces.

Turn the thermostat (2) to MIN after the meal to switch off the heating unit (4).

Unplug the mains plug (1) from the electrical outlet and let the device cool down in a place inaccessible for children.

Always grasp the fondue pot at the handles (5) and let the oil or the broth cool down before dispose them.

Also pay close attention to the Safety Advice.

Always unplug the mains plug and wait until the heating unit has cooled down sufficiently before cleaning.

Clean heating unit with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.

Caution! The heating unit may not be dipped into water and no water may penetrate into the inside of the device. o not remove sticky oil remains with an abrasive sponge or the like.

Wash thoroughly the fondue pot, the ring and the forks with hot water and a mild detergent.

Never use abrasive detergents or sharp utensils.

Keep the device at a place inaccessible to children.
