Battery Operation

This unit requires 4 “AA” batteries, not included. We recommend using a well- known brand of alkaline batteries for longest life and best performance.

1.) Open the battery compartment by pressing on the “” marks on the cover and sliding it downward in the direction of the arrows.

2.) If necessary, fold the AC power cord as shown and push it back into the cord storage compartment.

3.) Insert the 4 “AA” batteries into the battery compartment as shown. Be sure to observe the polarity markings inside the compartment. If the batteries are inserted incorrectly the unit will not work.

4.) Slide the battery cover upward until it snaps back into place.

When the radio sound becomes weak or distorted it is time to change the batteries. Replace all 4 batteries with fresh, new alkaline batteries at the same time. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries together.
