Connecting the scanner to a parallel interface
cCaution:
The scanner’s bidirectional parallel interface requires a
bidirectional interface on your computer. Check your
computer’s specifications to see if its built-in parallel interface
is bidirectional.
Use a standard shielded parallel interface cable.
1. Make sure that both the scanner and computer are turned
off.
2. Connect the 25-pin end of the cable to the computer; then
tighten the screws on the sides of the connector.
3. Plug the 36-pin end of the cable into the scanner’s interface
connector. Then squeeze the wire clips together until they
lock in place on both sides.
