Connecting to your PC
Connect the scanner to your PC or other IEEE 1394 device as
follows:
1. Connect one end of the cable to the IEEE 1394 port of the
interface board on back of the scanner.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the IEEE 1394 port on
your PC, or other IEEE 1394 device.

When connecting the scanner directly to your PC

Connect the cable connector to your PC's IEEE 1394 port.
The other cable can be connected to any of the IEEE 1394 ports on
the interface board attached to your scanner (any of the ports may
be used).
