Audio is output from the DIGITAL OUT and the i.LINK (AUDIO)* terminals.
OFF
Audio is not output from the DIGITAL OUT and the i.LINK (AUDIO)* terminals. If you are not using these terminals, we suggest that you use this OFF setting to reduce influence on the analog sound.
*: The i.LINK (AUDIO) terminals will become available after a future hardware upgrade (charged).
CD Direct
When an option marked with “>” is displayed, use the up or down cursor buttons to change the setting, and press the ENTER button to confirm the entry.
This setting has no effect on Super Audio CDs.
Direct
This setting bypasses unnecessary circuitry and provides better sound quality when listening to audio CDs.
Normal
Select “Normal” only when the i.LINK (AUDIO)* terminal is connected to an amplifier, and when the speakers are set up properly.
