Replacing the Wick:
16) Remove the old wick from the frame by carefully disengaging the fastening hooks from the rear frame piece (see illustration). Discard old wick. The new wick is inserted into the front frame. The wick will work correctly regardless of the direction it faces in the frame (there is no front, back, top, or bottom). Once the wick is in the frame,
17)The frame then fits between the guide
ribs on both sides of the humidifier. (The wick and frame will cover the vast majority of the width of the humidifier). The portion of the wick frame which extends up farther than the rest of the frame is positioned towards the front of the humidifier. (The wick will therefore be positioned further towards the rear of the humidifier).
Summer Storage:
18)Clean unit as outlined above.
19)Discard the used wick.
20)Allow unit to dry thoroughly before storage. Do not store with water inside the unit.
