PROBLEM SOLVING

NOTE: Turn OFF the power switch and unplug the electrical cord before servicing.

PROBLEM		CAUSE	SOLUTION
Motor won’t start	3	Electric plug	Push plug securely into
			outlet.
			Try another outlet.
			Check circuit breaker.
	3	Power switch not	Make sure power switch is
		turned “ON”	“ON.”
No suction at end of	3	Full paper bag	Replace paper bag.
hose	3	Hose	Remove any clogs from
			hose that restrict airflow,
			then try again.
	3	Front cover not	Push front cover until it
		latched	latches firmly.
Reduced suction	3	Full paper bag	Replace paper bag.
	3	Slip ring open	Rotate slip ring on wand
			until hole is covered.
	3	Hose	Remove any clogs from
			hose that restrict airflow,
			then try again.
Cleaner shuts off	3	Thermal Cut-Off	See instructions on page 4.
