How to Maintain YourVacuum Cleaner
! Make sure vacuum cleaner is turned off and power cord is unplugged
Maintain Brush Roll
Motor can become hot with normal use.
Do not remove end caps. Remove hair and threads from brush roll periodically.
Check Cogged Belt. Replace if worn or broken
! Avoid touching the motor shaft when checking brush roll or belt.
How to replace brush roll or belt
1) Adjust carpet height setting to the lowest or highest position.
2) Press handle release twice to lower handle flat onto floor (Fig. 1).
3) Turn vacuum over.

| of cover (Fig. 2). One screw is |

| located under the wheel carriage. |
|
5) | Turn vacuum back over to front side |
|
| and lift off brush roll cover (Fig. 3). |
|
6) | Lift left end of brush roll first. |
|
| Remove old brush roll and belt. |
|
7) | Thread belt around motor shaft |
|
| (Fig. 4). Place belt around the |
|
| pulley of new brush roll. | Fig. 3 |
8) | Align brush roll left end cap with |
|
| base and push into place. Push right |
|
| end cap into base until it snaps into |
|
| place (Fig. 5). |
|
9) | Rotate brush roll 2 turns to position |
|
| belt properly. |
|
10) | Replace brush roll cover (Fig.3). |
|
11) | Turn vacuum over and replace 6 | Fig. 5 |
| screws (Fig. 6). | |

Brush Roll Reset Button
1)Clear interference that caused brush roll to stall.
2)Press reset button on the side of vacuum below brush roll cover (Fig. 7).
