GETTING TO KNOW YOUR COMPACT CANISTER VAC PROBLEM SOLVING

This vacuum was inspected thoroughly and was in good operating condition
when it was shipped from the factory. If a minor problem occurs, it usually can
be solved quite easily when the cause is found. Therefore, this checklist is
provided for your convenience.
TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
PROBLEM POSSIBLE REASON POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Motor runs but no
suction
1. Hose, wand or inlet is
blocked.
2. Check bag full indicator.
3. Hose clamp not
assembled to hose inlet
properly.
1. Check for blockage -
remove it.
2. If dust bag is full,
replace dust bag.
3. Insert hose clamp into
hose inlet until "snap"
locks for proper
assembly.
Cord does not
rewind
1. Cord twisted.
2. Cord pulled out too far -
beyond "RED" mark.
1. Pull cord out,
straighten and rewind
again.
2. Holding the plug,
press the rewind
button and try to
rewind again.
Cleaner won't run
1. Not firmly plugged in.
2. No electricity in wall
outlet.
3. Blown fuse/tripped
breaker.
4. Motor thermostat may
have tripped.
1. Plug unit in firmly.
2. Check fuse or
breaker.
3. Replace fuse/reset
breaker.
4. Allow unit to cool
down before trying to
switch "ON" again.

Periodically wipe the exterior of the unit with a damp cloth. Wipe the interior where Dust Bag is
located to remove dust build-up.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WASH or REUSE THE DUST BAGS.
Always replace with new dust bag to keep your unit in maximum working condition.
