or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medi- cation. A moment of inattention while operating vacuum cleaner may result in serious personal injury.

Avoid accidental starting. Be sure vacuum cleaner and tool switches are OFF before plugging in or putting vacuum cleaner switch into power tool activation mode or filter cleaning mode. Do not keep power tool plugged into the vacuum cleaner’s power tool outlet during normal vacuuming. Plug- ging in vacuum cleaners or tools that have the switch ON invites accidents.

Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance both for you and the vacuum cleaner at all times. Use extra care when cleaning on stairs. Proper footing and balance enables bet- ter control of the vacuum cleaner in unexpected situations.

Do not vacuum burning, smoking or smol- dering things like cigarettes, matches or hot ashes. Fire inside the vacuum cleaner tank may occur.

Do not use to vacuum flammable liquids, alcohol, gases, or explosive dusts, like gas- oline or other fuels, lighter fluid, varnish, polyurethane coatings, cleaners, oil-based paints, natural gas, hydrogen, coal dust, magnesium dust, grain dust, or gun powder. Electric motors create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from mov- ing parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts, hose, and suction nozzles. Keep handles dry, clean and free from oil and grease.

Do not hold the hose against any body parts during operation.

Use safety equipment. Always wear eye and hearing protection. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate conditions.

Not suitable to vacuum hazardous or toxic substances or dusts e.g. asbestos. The filters will not be able to capture all particles and may exhaust them back into the environment.

Vacuum Cleaner Safety Rules

Vacuum cleaner Care

Do not use vacuum cleaner if switch does not turn it ON or OFF. Any vacuum cleaner that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

Disconnect the plug from the power source before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the vacuum cleaner. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the vacuum cleaner accidentally.

Never connect a tool with a rating greater than the maximum amperes listed on the receptacle. This vacuum cleaner has a power tool outlet for use in conjunction with other appliances such as sanders, jigsaws and planers; tools with greater ratings may cause a fire.

Do not vacuum dust when liquid/fluid is contained in the vacuum cleaner tank. Do not vacuum liquids/fluids when dust is in the tank. In either case empty the tank and/or remove dust bag before use so that dust does not cake and harden inside the tank.

Dry filters completely after wet vacuuming or use a second dry filter set for dust vacu- uming. Damp or wet filters will cake with dust or develop mold or mildew.

Store idle vacuum cleaner out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Vacuum cleaners are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

Maintain vacuum cleaner with care. Properly maintain vacuum cleaner to keep hose un- obstructed. Do not put any object into open- ings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow. Any alteration or modifi- cation is a misuse and may result in a dangerous condition.

Check for misalignment or binding of mov- ing parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect the vacuum clean- ers operation. If damaged, have the vacuum cleaner serviced before using. Poorly main- tained vacuum cleaners cause many accidents. Develop a periodic maintenance schedule for your vacuum cleaner.

Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Accesso- ries that may be suitable for one vacuum cleaner may become hazardous when used on another vacuum cleaner.

Service

Only qualified repair personnel must perform vacuum cleaner service. Service or mainte- nance performed by unqualified personnel could result in a risk of injury. For example: internal wires may be misplaced or pinched, safety guard return springs may be improperly mounted.

When servicing a vacuum cleaner, use only identical replacement parts. Follow instruc- tions in the Maintenance section of this

CT 22 E HEPA, CT 33 E HEPA specifications

The Festool CT 33 E HEPA and CT 22 E HEPA are exceptional dust extractors designed for professionals in the woodworking and construction industries. Known for their robust construction, innovative technology, and user-centric design, these models cater to a range of applications, ensuring a cleaner workspace and improved air quality.

The CT 33 E HEPA model is particularly noted for its impressive capacity and powerful suction ability. With a 33-liter container, it accommodates larger jobs without frequent emptying. This model comes equipped with a HEPA filter, capable of capturing 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns, thereby reducing airborne dust significantly. The HEPA filter’s effectiveness makes it an ideal choice for environments where fine dust particles may cause respiratory issues or where compliance with stringent regulations is necessary.

On the other hand, the CT 22 E HEPA model is designed for versatility and ease of use. With a slightly smaller 22-liter container, it strikes a balance between portability and capacity. It also includes the HEPA filter for optimal dust containment and enhanced air quality. The compact design of the CT 22 E makes it easier to transport between job sites while still maintaining a powerful suction performance that meets the demands of any professional.

Both models feature the innovative Festool AutoClean technology, which automatically cleans the filter during operation, ensuring consistent suction power without manual intervention. This feature prolongs the life of the filter and minimizes maintenance time, allowing users to focus on their tasks rather than equipment upkeep.

Another key characteristic of these dust extractors is the integrated noise reduction system, which significantly lowers the operational sound level. This makes them suitable for use in noise-sensitive environments, such as residential areas or indoor settings. Additionally, the dust extractors are equipped with a swiveling hose that enhances maneuverability and reduces the risk of tangles while moving around the work area.

Moreover, both models can be paired seamlessly with Festool power tools utilizing the Systainer system for optimal dust extraction, further streamlining the workflow. The durability of the casing and components ensures longevity and reliability, making the CT 33 E HEPA and CT 22 E HEPA excellent investments for professionals seeking high-performance dust extraction solutions. By integrating advanced technologies with user-friendly features, Festool continues to set the standard for dust extraction systems in various industries.
