When the correct date and time are set in your camera, the date and time are recorded with the image each time you snap a picture (see page 85).

To facilitate organizing your photographed data, it is recommended that you complete your camera’s date and time settings before shooting pictures.

A clock alert icon appearing on the LCD monitor indicates that the date and time settings have not been completed.

Holding the camera

Hold the camera securely with both hands, keeping your elbows close to your body and making sure the camera is stable.

A finger is blocking the lens.

Make sure that the lens or flash is not blocked by your fingers or the handstrap.

HINT

i Images captured in the still image shooting mode or sequential shots shooting mode can be rotated when they are played back (see page 65). Note that video clips cannot be rotated while they are being played back.

i When the optical zoom is used or when the autofocus is operating, the image may appear to waver, but this is not a malfunction.
