STEP 1
REMOVE PACKAGING
Before moving the cooktop indoors:
Remove outer carton and packing material from the shipping base. The cooktop is now ready for removal from the wooden base.
STEP 2
To simplify handling and to reduce the weight of the cooktop:
Remove the grates.
Remove griddle/grill and housing.
STEP 3
POSITIONING/LEVELING
SEALED TOP BURNER MODELS ARE FACTORY SET FOR THE GAS FOR WHICH THEY ARE TO BE USED. THEY CANNOT BE CHANGED FROM ONE GAS TO ANOTHER WITHOUT FACTORY AUTHORIZATION.
Cooktops will either be set for use with Natural gas or Propane (LP) gas. The factory orifice setting is indicated by a second alpha prefix letter in the model number. The letter “T” indicates a Natural gas setting. The letter “P” indicates a Propane (LP) setting.
IMPORTANT: The cooktop should always be installed at countertop height or higher.
DO NOT INSTALL THE COOKTOP LOWER THAN ADJACENT COUNTERTOP HEIGHT, DUE TO RISK OF A FIRE HAZARD.
