Turning the Camera on and Off

Rotate the ON/OFF switch to ON to turn the camera on.Select OFF to turn the camera off.bSwitching to Playback Mode

Press the abutton to start playback. Press abutton again or press the shutter button halfway to return to shooting mode.

bAuto Power Off

The camera will turn off automatically if no operations are performed for the length of time selected in the

MAUTOPOWEROFFmenu (P102). To reactivate the camera after it has turned off automatically, turn the ON/OFF switch to OFF and then back to ON.

Battery LevelBattery level is shown as follows:

Indicator	Description
NO ICON	Batteries are partially discharged.
B(red)	Batteries are low. Replace as soon as
	possible.
A(blinks red)	Batteries are exhausted. Turn camera
	off and replace batteries.

A battery warning may not be displayed before the camera turns off, particularly if batteries are reused after having once been exhausted. Power consumption varies greatly from mode to mode; the low battery warning (B) may not be displayed or may be displayed only briefly before the camera turns off in some modes or when switching from shooting to playback mode.
