AAPERTURE PRIORITY AE

You choose the aperture using the command dial, while the camera adjusts shutter speed for optimal exposure.

Q If the correct exposure can not be achieved at the selected aperture, shutter speed will be displayed in red. Adjust aperture until the correct exposure is achieved. If the subject is outside the metering range of the camera, the shutter speed display will show “---”. Press the shutter button halfway to measure exposure again.

MMANUAL

In this mode, you control both shutter speed and aperture.

Press the selector up (d) to highlight shutter speed or aperture and use the command dial to adjust the highlighted item. If desired, exposure can be altered from the value selected by the camera.

The Exposure Indicator

The amount the picture will be under- or over-exposed at current settings is shown by the exposure indicator.
