Taking Photographs

This section covers the basics of taking pictures in S(ADVANCED SR AUTO) mode.

1Select Smode.

Rotate the mode dial to S(ADVANCED SR AUTO). The following information will be displayed in the LCD monitor.

Scene Icon

The camera automatically selects the appropriate scene.

Using the Flash

To raise the flash when lighting is poor, press the flash pop-up switch.

The gIcon

In Smode, the camera continuously adjusts focus and searches for faces, increasing the drain on the battery. gis displayed in the LCD monitor.
