Overview

This chapter describes the Remote Management Controller Upgrade.

1.1 Features
The following are the features of the Remote Management Controller installed as standard in the
baseboard.
• It can control power/reset of the server without being dependant on the state of the server.
• It is possible to use the Console Redirection function and the Remote Storage function by optional
Remote Management Controller Upgrade (PG-RMCU1).
• It is fitted with a LAN interf ace.
• It is fitted with the server monitoring function (server hang, temperatur e, voltage monitoring).
• It is fitted with the server error notification function (error notification is possible during server
hang).
• The server status can be viewed via a Web interface and power/reset can be controlled.
