FEA-2100 specifications

The Furuno FEA-2100 is a cutting-edge marine radar system designed for commercial and recreational vessels, renowned for its reliability and advanced features. As part of Furuno’s esteemed line of electronic navigation systems, the FEA-2100 integrates state-of-the-art technology to enhance situational awareness, ensuring safe navigation in various maritime environments.

One of the standout features of the FEA-2100 is its high-resolution display, which provides clear and detailed imagery of surrounding waters. The display utilizes advanced signal processing algorithms, resulting in improved target detection and reduced clutter—allowing operators to make vital decisions quickly and accurately. With multiple presentation modes, users can customize the radar view to suit specific operational needs, whether it’s a traditional radar screen or a more modern overlay on electronic charts.

The FEA-2100 employs Furuno’s innovative Signal Digital Processing (SDP) technology, which significantly enhances the radar's performance in challenging weather conditions. This technology minimizes the effects of rain, sea waves, and other interference, which can obscure targets on traditional radar systems. Furthermore, the advanced anti-clutter features enable users to differentiate between pertinent targets and background noise, improving overall navigational safety.

Another noteworthy characteristic is the FEA-2100's performance in both short and long-range scenarios. Equipped with powerful transceiver units, it offers robust detection capabilities at varying distances, which is crucial for collision avoidance and navigating busy ports. The system also supports several radar ranges, accommodating the diverse operational scenarios that mariners face.

The FEA-2100 is designed with user-friendliness in mind. Its intuitive interface allows for easy operation, even for those who may not be technologically savvy. The system supports customizable user settings, enabling operators to tailor their radar interface according to personal preferences and mission requirements.

Integration is another significant advantage of the FEA-2100. It can easily connect with other marine electronic devices, including Automatic Identification Systems (AIS), GPS, and electronic chart display systems. This connectivity fosters a cohesive navigation environment, where multiple data sources can be accessed and analyzed simultaneously.

In summary, the Furuno FEA-2100 stands out as a premier radar system, combining high performance, advanced signal processing, and user-centric design. Its robust features make it an invaluable tool for enhancing safety and efficiency in maritime navigation, ensuring that both commercial and recreational vessels can traverse waterways with confidence. Whether in challenging weather conditions or busy marine environments, the FEA-2100 delivers the reliable performance that mariners trust.
